Transport is responsible for 25% of energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases in the world. Therefore the company generates the Travel Fair for reducing emissions.

In Costa Rica most of the companies started to work on a purely commercial approach without realizing the ecological impact after the production and / or processing of raw materials.
Our company, MAPACHE Rent a Car ® generates revenue from its inputs. It has the consumption of fossil fuels, producing as much CO2 use and route of each vehicle in the fleet, so to mitigate the negative environmental impact; addressed to offset the same by paying for environmental services in different areas of the country, for carbon sequestration through reforestation of our forests.
Due to above, our company management is distinguished for being the first Rent a Car in Costa Rica C-Neutral. In view of this national recognition, MAPACHE Rent a Car ® company has initiated programs with shared values to solve social problems at a leading environmental and building value for shareholders, employees and general society.

The organization was founded in 1994, is a 100% interest that arises by a Costa Rican family and a hobby that applies the policies of the Costa Rican government, service providers and supplies, the environment, employees, board Directors and the community.
As corporate interest aspire to social development and economic and corporate growth, with the desire to contribute to environmental conservation, being the only Rent a Car in a step towards the sustainability of tourism management.

My name is Jackeline Lopez Cordero. I am 45 years History Educator Occupation with different titles at the professional level within the field of education from preschool education to second cycle of Secondary Education. I have a degree in the Management of Special Needs Education and a Masters in Social Science with emphasis in Educational Administration. In addition to other Masters in Environmental Management Project.
I am a national leader in the industry by implementing innovative programs within the organization.

Domestically the firm has a manual of good environmental practices, which guides the organization toward the appropriate use of resources and encouraging recycling. This also is shared with companies that show their interest in adopting the guidelines set by our organization

The contributions of programs and initiatives that we are financed by own resources of the company. We would like to have more budget support to disseminate the initiatives, invest in training and creating support networks in communities.
The company has no financing to date, no contributions from any source than their own.

The company has now 3 years to have these projects to date, and tourism is characterized as a social and economic activity that encompasses a number of important points that need further and require that are sustainable. We must work with the host nucle to achieve a professional job, is required for development, capital, efforts and support of professional networks and that tourism is a phenomenon that has a growing presence in international economies and requires harmony and friendly relations with the environment.

Develop Barriers:
• Lack of national policy.
• Commitment to achieve a better work in the area of awareness and education.
• Lack of incentives for the development of new programs.
• Genuine Will of stakeholders in the development of processes and programs.
• Lack of programs in communities.
• More financial resources to generate and develop more programs in education
¿Cuál es tu plan para expandir este proyecto? Indica cómo harías para hacer crecer o mejorar tu innovación o pedirles a otros que lo hagan.
First of all, to consolidate and achieve early successes have new strategic partners, government support for development projects and availability of programs, policies and standards to achieve better development and profit.
Second, count on the support networks to gain support from environmentalists, professionals who understand the needs and have a tourism product development to harmonious coexistence with nature and the environment.
