Pioneers in mushroom cultivation in the Caribbean with over 20 years experience growing mushrooms in the rainforests of the buffer zone of the Mount Trois Piton World Heritage Site. They have designed their own unique growing medium utilizing local agricultural waste. They have recorded each day; each trial of their ecological existence within the rainforest for over 20 years!

They have promoted Dominica through cultural performances; produced a short documentary in partnership with Marpin; developed and facilitated training programmes; and networked - locally; regionally and internationally. Christine Luke recently returned from a 7 week intensive programme covering mushroom growing in China.

rainbowyoga's Story:
I have observed Mathew and Christine strive towards a sustainable lifestyle while protecting their rainforest for over 20 years. I have worked side by side with them on the project throughout the years. Recently we have developed a Yoga in the Rainforest eco day tour where people visit their farm and practice ‘yoga in the rainforest – yoga in harmony with nature.’ The day includes a greeting of rainforest bush tea; a talk on why we need to protect the forests; a power point presentation on mushroom cultivation and then a tour of the farm with a closing meditation in the rainforest; participants then find their rainforest spot and practice yoga right there for an hour; then return to enjoy an amazing vegan meal focused on local foods. The day finishes with a musical jam with Rainforest Mushrooms providing local indigenous instruments. People love it!
